Finchley is one of the more charming areas of Greater London. This is a place that is typified by open, tree lined roads with a very tranquil vibe. And as Finchley is out towards the edge of the Greater London area, it has access to some real wilderness and nature areas. Unlike more central areas, which typically only have access to managed parkland, residents of Finchley have direct access to rural open spaces. As a commuter location, Finchley is exception in many ways. Close to both the M1 Motorway and the North Circular Road, this is a suburb that not only has easy access to Central London, but also the rest of the country. Finchley has always been one of the more upmarket areas of London. And has also been an area that is favoured by artists and other creative types. However, modern Finchley has a very eclectic community. Everything from large families, to independent singles. This is primarily due to the wide range of housing types found in the area. From single bedroom apartments, to large detached family homes. Aside from the rural green spaces close to Finchley, there are several parks in the area. This includes Woodside Park, Victoria Park, Cherry Tree Wood and Coldfall Woods.
